Lovely looking Golf. It is actually refreshing to see one that is not lowered and fitted with big wheels.

Tidy!! Also very unscene! I like it its like out of an 80's TV or mag commercial. Lovely we need a few like this, Sadly I'd prob drop the front end a bit and go for some nice wheels! but don't do that!! Ok maybe drop the front a smidge ;D

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Really like that! 5 door mk1's in black have always been very rare - great to see one being so well cared for.

;Dthank you everyone, really nice to see your comments Forgot to say yes it is an e type in the garage, and a very rare one as well, its a series 1.25, not a 1.5 and appeared in the London motorshow when new with a few mods such as bright yellow koni shocks (was on a podium thingy) in front of that is a custom made drag racer built using the chassis from a MG Magnette, its awesome, but the MG owners club purists hate it lol, and the jetta looks a lot better now, has been t cut and polished but definitely needs it again haha. That picture is terrible isnt it , but you can see the difference on the front wing in it. The previous woman who owned i think used to eat of a trough cos she had the cleanliness of a farmyard animal. Still, the jetta does come up good and Il be detailing it in summer 2010. Fair way off yet though!!

Less time polishing, more time lowering!
Seriously though, that looks lovely and the fact that (as previously said) it looks like an 80s TV commercial is really cool in itself!
Have you looked into converting to an electronic ignition instead of points and condenser?
