Laaavely. I like it, it looks as if it used to be Flamenco Red, the same as the '77 BGT I owned between 1990 and 1992. Keep it as is and you're sure to get your dollars back, too.
I'm sure you know this already, but they are much, much nicer to drive with the original bus-sized tiller IMHO. ;D

The floors are all new so the colour on there doesn't mean anything. Maybe the original plan was to paint the car red? Had a trip down to the dungeon in it this evening. A bigger steering wheel would certainly be good for town work. We're not supposed to be spending any money on it though... Well, they're down there after a random Ebay purchase six months ago so it would have been rude not to eye them up New oil and filter went in too. Its not done the miles but I've no idea when it was last changed...

thought you were allergic to non tax free vehicles............. Yeah. Err, its a bit of a shocker. It failed to proceed on Thursday. A fuel line near between pump and solid pipe split emptying much of a tank within a minute along the A41 AA man was with 'er in 5 minutes and fixed it. I replaced all the rest of the hoses on Friday. Typical new car/lack of use teething trouble. I also had a look at the rear brakes as it only just scraped through the MOT on them. The handbrake levers inside the (very clean) drums had been swapped side for side and were making everything bind. The handbrake cable had been adjusted right up tight to try and compensate. I swapped the levers back, readjusted the cable and everything works as it should now. Oh, we've also joined the MG owners club as it meant we got £40 off the insurance (which we just renewed at £128 for both the B and Herald, unlimited mileage parked on the street in London ;D) If the V8/Scimitar rims had usable tyres on they'd probably get used but they don't so...

Joined the owners club! lmao! You want my 'inappropriate for santa pod' hat?? Having seen this car in the flesh i can confirm its a lovely little runabout for family Seth. Glad you got the rear brakes looked at mate! Other than the fuel mishap, how is the little MGB serving you now?

nice purchase, I've never been keen on the rubber bumper cars, but with my 70s spectacles on I'm loving it, get some string back driving gloves for Mrs Seth and you have a winning combo

This is going up for sale very shortly, as soon as I've done a couple of little "pre-sale" jobs to it, taken some photos and written an ad. Let me know if you might be interested or know someone else who could be tempted

Went off with its new owner today. It was a good buy all told, did its job well, a few foibles but nothing major and we made a bit of profit too. Case closed!
