That is a marvellous job!
Could water be getting into the tank through the keyhole in the cap? On a Triumph the cap is vertical, but on your bond I notice its horizontal.

Sorry! I've still got to get the tank back from Grunty's. Been a bit swamped with work / lack of cash so things have slowed down a bit. Guz, that looks pretty tidy. What are D&B's prices like? I might grab a few bits if they're cheap. mdh, I could grab the bonnet for you, but I don't think I'd have any way of transporting it.

I'll have a landrover on the road soon, so I could collect from you... Where abouts is it? It's just south of Nottingham. I've never actually been to that scrappy, although I did send my old BMW shell there. The fella that collected it ran a Triumph (I don't recall what sort... Mayflower maybe) and was really into his classics. It does look tidy, although I dare say it'll be rotten underneath!

D+B breakers are in the centre of this map: tinyurl.com/3a262euBTW - Cavendish steet does not join to Montpelier road - the bridge under the railway is too low for cars - so you have to approach from the cinema. If you look closely, just above and to the left of the office is a pale metallic blue SD1 - which I bought from them a few years back. Certainly very friendly in there - I went a couple of times, to view and to collect. I'd forgotten about Brian's Mayflower.

you'd get a car through, if you removed the bollards. its pedestrian/bicycle access only.
i remember the SD1, i used to buy every mini that went to the 3 yards on that dirt track, best buys were the '78 mini van from D&B and the orange bug i had off Mick that i'm still driving now.
i live at the other end of university boulevard, NG9 2EX.

Unfortunately, no. I've not been able to get the tank back from Grunty due to the bad weather, and lack of time etc. I'm also limited on when I can borrow a car to get around in. I think I might have to put out a call on the RR Pony Express as I don't think I'm going to be able to collect it for a while. I've got a bit of mojo failure to be honest, but it happens every winter. Once this bitter cold and snow goes I'll be feeling better about things, but at the moment the thought of digging through the snow to get to the car to work on it in sub-zero conditions isn't appealing! ;D

Sounds like my mojo position at the moment, crappy weather and a car that's just sucking pennies :/ Tank is nice and warm here but would certainly be better installed I have asked on the A52 thread if anyone is coming from your end

Thanks Al, much appreciated! Really sorry the tank is still with you, I had planned to get it back here fairly soon but things didn't work out! This snow has scuppered a lot of things, including my mojo! It'll get better though!
