these grills are insane!!!! i saw one in retrocarmag and thought it was a custom built grill three questions 1. would this fit a mk1 jetta? 2. where could i buy one? 3. would it be possible to make one (not necessarily motorized)

it wont fit a mk1 jetta but it would fit mine ;D
unless you could make it fit that is. in theory its possible to make one i suppose i toyed with the idea but didnt like it enough to start chopping stuff about. pretty cool though.

Very very cool! Oldbus custom-made something like that for his Capri. Wasn't motorised or anything I don't think. Looked incredibly cool!

yeah make one.... very cool tho... wonder how it would look on my polo haha, pretty much the same front end... only diference being very limited space behind the grille....
suppose some electric aerial motors would work... cant be hard to make the slide bits..

Did a bit of research for you, The company will re-make them but you have to order in batches of 100.
It's powered by electric window motors, as far as i can find out. Probably be cheaper to get two grills from a scrappy and bodge one together yourself or get a local shop that does alot of customising to have a go at it for you.

they are a copy of the charger grills.... american muscle idea + vw scene tax = ££££
and they look way better on chargers!

think I am gona try and make one in the new year when I have some time and money Ki wonder if its easyer to push the light back than it is to bring the grill foward.
