The Siata 208S Roadster Correct Wiki extract: "Siata (Societa Italiana Auto Trasformazioni Accessori) which in English is "Italian Society Car Transformations Accessories", was an Italian company founded in 1926 by Giorgio Ambrosini that worked with modifying and tuning cars from Fiat. In 1949 Siata launched their first own car, the Siata Amica. In 1951 they came up with the Siata 300BC Barchetta Sport Spider. Around 40 were built. The design was by Mario Revelli de Beaumont and it was built by Nuccio Bertone and Rocco Motto. It was powered by a 750 cc or 1100cc Crosley engine. In 1968 they launched Siata Spring, a sports car based on parts from Fiat 850. The Siata Spring was produced until 1975 when the company changed name to ORSA. Siata raced in the Mille Miglia and the Italian Road Racing Championship in 1948, 1949, 1950, 1951, 1952 and 1955. Siata also created the Cucciolo ("puppy") motor sold in kit form by Ducati and later used to power Ducati's first complete mopeds and motorcycles starting in 1952."Now before we go any further: THE UNSOLVED FILE:The 'white eastern Bloc thingy':The 'looks like a Michelotti/Vignale bodied Standard/Triumph/Rootes Group thingy':The 'looks like a sort-of-French Marcos but with the rear screen from somthing acting as a windscreen thingy':ANSWERS PLEASE!!!! ;D ;D ;D

Anyone get this one? The Troll. A small car made by Troll Plastik & Bilindustri of Lunde, Norway, from 1956 to 1958. It was one of few attempts at car production in Norway, but only five cars were ever built. Now, as I was saying... ;D

The first one look like Ginetta G26, but much better. Is it a Mohawk of Regis automotive or a Metisse? The second one looks to me as a rebodied Aston-Martin DB2 The last one is SAVAM 850VS

And by medium-strength I of course meant pee weak... ;D Correct. Some backstory for the masses please, as part of the ethos of this thread? Based on the Porsche 916, used a 2.4 flat six engine and had about 220bhp. Used at the 1970 Turin motor show, sold to a Spanish businessman, who used it regularly. It then got firebombed in Spain. It now resides in a museum somewhere.

The 'looks like a Michelotti/Vignale bodied Standard/Triumph/Rootes Group thingy': That would be a Brittania GT....I can't remember much about it, although John Tojeiro had something to do with the chassis, it was Zephyr-powered and I have a feeling they made a one-off single seat racing car too. Oh, and only 6 were built. edit: I was refering to the cobra-esque car with the Siata answer. my one was the SOVAM (not 'savam', i'll put that down to a typo!) although i think the one in that photo might be a later 1100 version.....

Oh, and only 6 were built. ... Yup, the Britannia GT. This one is the prototype, and has an alloy body (rest were GRP) on a Tojeiro chassis (the spare one from the '57 Le Mans team). All wheel disc brakes (iirc, inboard at the back) and with a Raymond Mays tuned Ford straight six. It was restored a few years ago by someone I know.

And just to give people something else to chew on, here's another to gnaw on... Thats the Michelotti-bodied Jaguar D-type, built on chassis XKD513 in '63, but now rebodied onto an E-type platform. Absolutley stonking car. XKD513 now exists as a 'genuine' D-type still no idea on the mercedes though..... Who knows what this slightly awkward looking sportster is?
