I'm not the slightest bit jealous MMate! Lovely unit.Nothing better than having everything all in one place and all to hand. I have 7 cars and tons of spares spread over three garages and the spare room in the house!
And that's a beautiful Triumph your mate's got. What model of Triumph is that based on?( so I can copy paste into Ebay's search right now ;D)
I recently aquired some more sofa's which found their way to the unit (it's great getting PAID to aquire stuff!!) and they joined the original Area52 sofa's which were fresh back from loyal service at the Gathering last week. The new sofas are mint! It's mad when people pay to have such tidy things thrown away! Their loss.....
Today I collected some more bits to 'finish off' the space. A nice bright rug and a coffee table. Perfect! Again, I was paid to get rid of this stuff...
I know nothing matches or co-ordinates, but who cares.....it's not a showhouse but a place to relax, chat and read retro car magazines in between bouts of working on cars. It does that perfectly! The mismatched look suits the place down to the ground.
Jed LOVES the new sofa's (they will hopefully be joining the originals at RRG10 ;D)
Something to read while you drink your tea??
Plenty more where that came from:
Cost to set up this space so far: £ZERO!!! Now that's what I call good value for money.
Next up....to try and source a working fridge for nothing. ;D
Oh - and I also picked (got paid to remove) this up for the gathering next year.....a nice fire basket with BBQ tray and grill. AWESOME! It even has a large base to catch any ash/embers to stop them from burning the grass.
Thanks for the comments guys. Chris, I'm sorry I missed you on Sunday - as you now know, I was out catching bugs in my teeth ;D
Anyone from RR is more than welcome to pop around to the unit for a chat/visit/work on their car. It's not just there for me to play with my own vehicles, but for others to drop in and chill out for a bit.
If anyone is thinking of dropping in, please PM me in advance and I'll let you have my number so that I can confirm if I'll be down there or not (Chris, you know to give me a call if you're in the area)
I've been getting evil thoughts about installing a 2 post ramp. There is room, but I need to sort out some wiring and run some 3-phase from the fuse box.
Any electricians in/around Bristol fancy lending a hand???
