Hey Bruce, sorry for not posting anything earlier but as you know i've got a Blackberry for internet for access and thats it Anyway i've popped to my sisters to steal her internet so here you go .... (sorry mods if this isn't the place but I just wanted to show some love for Area 52) ... for anyone who's not been, its a magical place and Bruce is a dude, he didn't mind me asking stupid questions, not doing any muscle work as my wrist still isn't great from breaking it and doing a top notch job at making my Eunos a whole different animal After leaving Rochester at 5am we arrived at .... sometime after 8am?? with 4x4 ride height, dull TSW wheels, plastic fantastic steering wheel and hernia spec steering Bruce starting the magic.... The BEST dog EVER ... Driving home happy with coilovers, broken wrist friendly steering, lush BBS's and a wooden way to steer Thanks again matey, i'm well happy with the results. My dad and me had a really good day.... we don't normally bond or hangout so that was novel Oh and car wise I fully accept I know nothing technical but I did teach Bruce one thing .... in fact i'll just leave this here .... *coughringtailcough*

I think that was Bruce's reaction, too.
I dropped in eariler and the place was, while not manic, quite busy. I managed to sort out my wiper arm, with half an hour of grinding, cutting, grinding, centre-punching, drilling and bending - it just needs a small (M2.5?) bolt to secure the bits together, and a new wiper blade to finish it. The pillar drill is very nice, and especially so for drilling stainless.
In other news: Essex, awaken! ;D That's all you're getting for now - gory details later.

Right, some details for the forthcoming weekend: 3 x main priorities. The first being Andy's Benz. Hopefully not too much work, but after 9 weeks away from it's owner, it'll be great to have the two reunited hopefully. The second being the Fairlane....time to get stuck into some resto on this. I had to move it around yesterday single handed and I can tell you it wasn't fun! Boy does it weigh some! Pete, the stonemason guy, is back and needing most of his space, so the Fairlane has been moved to the back wall. Anyone who knows about the 'slab' on the floor will understand why moving it was so tricky single handed (I seem to recall it took five of us to move it originally!) It's now resting on the set of dollies so that we can (carefully) roll it away from the wall to work on it, then roll it back again once we're done. I have finally (after three months of waiting) had my registration to the Ford Fairlane Enthusiasts forum approved. I'm sensing that things don't happen too quickly in the Fairlane world? I have started a thread on there as a way of introducing myself, the car etc... Details here: fairlaneforums.easyphpbb.com/viewtopic.php?p=17334#17334I have also put up a wanted request for a windscreen rubber. There will be plenty of other things that will probably need to be sourced, but I thought I would start with something easy to get hold of, not too expensive and easy to send! Doors will have to wait I reckon? If I get some response to the windscreen rubber then we'll be cutting out the old one at the weekend so that we can start investigating the rot under the scuttle panel more thoroughly. Priority number three will be the car that Hardcore is currently borrowing. No more details 'publicly' but most of you will know what this is about. It means we'll probably have to get drunk early, but this is never a bad thing ;D Beyond that, please let me know if you are planning any work. Mikeys lowering is already 'booked' and hopefully some time on the 205, but any more stuff, just post it up here and we can see about space/time etc... Lastly, not that you need reminding, NO CARS IN THE YARD. Despite having said this numerous times, we ended up with a completely filled yard last time. Hopefully this weekend will run without the need for me to ask people to move their cars. As said before, this is on request of the landlord, not me trying to be funny. Thanks guys. See you all next weekend (unless you are bored this Sunday and want to come over?) don't forget my wheels Bruce, Got a car waiting for them!!

Is that that rat that kept Mikey awake all night, which almost resulted in him getting his torch forcably inserted into one of his bodily cavities?

for every rat you see, there is at least 20 you don't. I saw 2 last week, opened the door to the unit and the curse word was sitting at the front door of the toilet and just looked at me. then it turned tail and ran to its hole, and as I walked into the snug another ran behind the couch along the wall and down the escape hatch. Need to get the traps/poison out asap
