What a great weekend! Nice to see the Rascal out and getting some love! Sunday was a bit rubbish (not due to A52 though) Thank you to Dan, Adam, Chris and Bruce for helping to get the Volvo a little closer to terra firma ;D Oh, If anyone has a mk1 mondeo bumper lying around (condition irrelevant, I only need the top section) I have some beer tokens ready! Most of the splitter went walkies on the way home from the gorge

Damn it Dave, you're not having much luck with this car right now! The first time you#re not trying to kill a car and it starts doing it for you I'll keep an eye out for a splitter - maybe stop by that scrapyard place on Friday, the one with the tree growing around the gearbox - they might have one?

Managed to make some good progress on my car this weekend, so the chances of me making it to the next playday are getting better and better... just need to sell some stuff so I can afford to tax and insure it!!
Russell.

Thanks James, and yes you're right....I am trying to spend a lot of time at the moment working on the house. Today I failed though because the weather was so damn good, combined with not having driven the MX5 for a few weeks, plus Chris had just got his car back from a respray, and I'd not taken any photos for a while. Put all those together and you've got a recipe for a day out in the sun grabbing some photos with good mates. After all, you know what they say about all work & no play ;D
Brian, sorry to have missed you Dude. My phone had dropped out of my pocket and got under the seat. By the time I'd noticed, then found it, it was a good few hours after you'd tried to call.
Hopefully see you at the next play weekend though?

Dammit. Just had my exam timetable through - and my first exam is on 25th May - so I won't be able to do the whole weekend. Will try to drop in, probably on Saturday afternoon, though. Give me a call if there are electrical problems .

there is always electrical problems james ! LOL - I was just thinking that even if there wasn't any, we should [cough] create some [/cough] just to get James over for more than a flying visit ;D Just a reminder James, I know you live for the stuff, but the peanut butter currently on 'the shelf of many condiments' is NOT for students, vegetarians or any kind of human consumption whatsoever (I'm sure Dan will explain) Sorry to hear about the bad timing of the exams (is there ever a good timing?) but I hope you can make it down for more than a few hours?

Sneaky. I like it. I know about the peanut butter - back to black, yes? I'll bring my own. No, there's never a good time for exams - but at least I don't have multiple exams on the same day. I hope I can visit for longer as well - revision's nowhere near as much fun as mucking about with cars and drinking. BTW, I mentioned that Essex to my Dad and he seemed interested as long as it's got oil pressure. Although he did say that whatever state it's in it's probably better than the one in his Scimitar, which has sat for nearly 20 years with water in the bores from the blown HGs.
