"Sometimes, I get this terrible sinking feeling when my owner leaves me at night."
In other news, I'm definitely not toddling down tomorrow on account of OMG SURPRISE PRINCESS DELIVERY!!!111eleventytwelve. I am really rubbish at the whole attending A:52 thing, anyone would think I live miles away or something.

Bristol is quite a long way from Derbyshire. Its closer than Grimsby is ....... Having no money though, is biggest deciding factor .....

Fennec, the next one is on the 18th to 20th October and it'll be great to see you back Alan. The birthday weekender was probably the quietest play weekend ever! We did have a very productive time though and I hope jonovlov is able to post his excellent photos up soon? I did take some, but they are still on the camera and I've been stupendously busy....but I promise to post mine up when I get back from Wales on the 13th.

Nya ha!! Uploading now Bruce. I'll post them in a bit. It was a very quiet weekend comparatively, I didn't take many photos as I was working on the Micra all weekend.

Here are the pics from September's weekend. I was taking the Micra this time as it failed the MOT on a few bits. I unfortunately arrived in the Micra a bit beaten up after having an accident with another car on the way. I didn't expect the car in front to stop at a green light, I locked up and clouted the rear bumper. Still alive though! I get started in the morning checking out what was what. Outside, Bruce is straightening the Delica's front bar. James quickly snaps up the wing and starts beating back into shape. He does the same with the Micra As thats going on, Rob helps Sven swap the front discs on his Citroen After that me and Rich take a trip to bucklands in gloucester to grab some bits for the micra (replacement headlight, sidelight and indicator). When we get back after nomming some KFC, James beats the crash bar of the datsun back into shape. Everything back on, NEARLY as good as it was! Bruce the pap master. That night, the guys start to work on the Dodge to breath some life into the beast. It squeals into life. I moved the Micra off the ramp to sort the major MOT failure, A MASSIVE HOLE Fabbing up some steel, and with James's panel making/beating skills, one sill is born. After some more fettling with the Dodge, it manages to move under its own steam. We all pile in and go for a cheeky test drive Mark, trapped inside Peado Collins is watching . . . A wild Gibson turns up and naturally some awesome wheels are tested Mark and Rich go to pick up Mark's latest purchasing, and have a tweak. I'm looking forward to the next one, this time with no accident on the way there!!

Well, I've read through the whole of this thread in my spare time over the last few days, and having spoken to Bruce I will be making my first trip to A52 some time over the winter. I don't own a retro motor (yet) but I am keen to learn new car-fixing/tweaking skills which will help me out if ever I do, and A52 seems like the perfect place to do so while being part of a convivial atmosphere augmented by tons of beer! I will warn you in advance though I will probably bore everyone to death with chat about retro motorsport!

no, this thread never dies stuff still happening down at A52, just that those taking the pics and doing the writings have been pretty busy of late.

Welshpug says, it's still all going on at the unit but I, personally, have been stupendously busy and unfortnately haven't had time to update the thread really. Apologies about that. I promise to dedicate more time to it very soon, but in the meantime, here is a recent shot that I took - I'm long overdue posting some of my own photos on here, so more will be coming soon I can assure you. Oh...and the next play weekend is the 13th to 15th December if anyone was wanting to come along? Plans for the weekend to be revealed very soon.
