Not wanting to put us forward or anything, buuuuut: I work for Spax and love this place SOOOO much I'll offer you 2 good deals. 15% discount on EVERYTHING we do, AND I'll go and measure any insert you want and get dimensions. We cover a LOT of cars, so that's quite an offer/variation there! Hope someone takes me up on that offer - I'm manic busy atm, but would happily do something INTERESTING instead! That is a fantastic offer. You may well be getting a PM soon I've just been shown this forums.turbobricks.com/showthread.php?t=185709So I now know that the type of insert I require is 'T4'. I love the internet.

dude, if you want the old struts from the cavalier for fitment checking / playing with then just say. Not going to have enough time to swap them for Brean though

When I was planning the conversion on my struts I was at a car show where a vendor had his stock of std inserts laid out on the ground so I was able to walk round comparing lengths until I found some 2" shorter than my stock ones.

I have a question - How "shortened" are your lowered 106 inserts? I'm running bilstein B6s now with some custom coilovers, and it feels like I'm on the bumpstops all the time (the Billies have internal bump stops) When compressed, they only leave about 45mm of shaft outside the body. I need more like 15mm.

ooo! That information will come in real handy when I make my front struts for the micra into removeable shock inserts! I might even have a spare pair in a month or so when I decide what I'm going to do with the front of my 106 (I've lowered it and feels like it's on the stops all the time!) Sweet! But its gonna be some time till i can get the micra leg off to compare measurement and then even more time till I can afford to spend any money on the micra. But after some fun at the last playday, I think its on the stop on the front

I don't think I'll be able to take you up on the offer since I'm doing it on the cheap but the offer is appreciated
