ASAP really needed.. doesnt need to be mega big and anything is considered but if its suitable for me to work on my car it would be a bonus

Applied twice and when I phoned them to enquire about my application the woman very bluntly told me I had no chance as the waiting list was huge and hung up Shame as there is a perfect council garage around the corner |

If you manage to identify the half an hour a day that the council are actually open for visitors, it could be worth popping in and trying face to face. I told them I had a rare classic car that really needed safe storage and all of a sudden the answer went from nothing at all available to the choice of three in the blocks behind my house, two of which I ended up renting. It may have helped that I pointed out that they had a couple of boarded up ones and that I aksed if I could put a door on one in lieu of rent.  |

Had same phone manner when i tried for a garage in Nuneaton / Bedworth area, applied at least 4 times now on line waste of time council, if you ask me.... I ended up renting a garage in Burton in the end.... not ideal but better than naff all |

i know this is an old thread, but apparently the women that used to be in charge of the council garages around here was useless, she's been replaced now and the new women is trying to sort out the mess left for her. it turns out there are garages all over the borough that haven't been paid for in months/years and still have stuff stored in them (a mini club man shell and a partly restored mk1 golf among them  ). now the new bird is in charge it nly took just over a week to sort out a garage just round the corner from my house and i had the choice of 4-5 in the same lot of garages. |

Council garages are pretty cheap too if you can get one.. just make sure you keep it locked... my rover p6 went from mine in sunny beduff.

Ya joking I have been trying for 4 years to get a garage, Called each month to see if one had popped up always told NO. GRRRRRR lazy f'in council desk flyers....
I will call tomorrow and see what the score is... ;D Need to get my HA under cover PDQ

I called today, now collecting keys for a garage 300 yards from my house... Good i have a garage, But I could of had 3 if I called yesterday....  |
