Do I get a coachworks design credit on the livery?
Just caught up with this. I heartily approve of your post-it note measuring system. Looking forward to seeing the beast in the flesh.

Something like 'Rear-end Conception by Quatermass' Over my dead body - I thought it was a joint venture so much for teamwork by the 'Lord' - up to his usual tricks of servicing his owns needs and claiming all the glory - would not surprise me if he was not a close relation of Bob Geldof

NO - 'Coachwork design by that rather nice chap at Flat Cap Classic Cars' -'with a little input from Q' - (this bit in very small writing it's all he deserves)

Dude, take the whole credit. I was only joking and I haven't actually read the thread at all I just skimmed it and mistakenly thought FH said he was going with a design I'd come up with. I didn't mean to cause a ruckus here.

There's a reason I tend to stay within my own thread

I thought Quatermass was suggesting the coachwork for the sheep shed.

Sheet for the new panels here It's a bit 'orangey' but we'll see how it looks. Spent a few hours in the sunshine getting the split seats out. Working in a field not optimal Proper old-skool seat raising mechanism Try stealing it now ya barstewards So after the exertions I treated myself and SWMBO to a small libation. It's February, I've just cut the front lawn, it's sunny and 16 degrees and I'm drinking beer sat outside down the pub. When will this horror ever end?

Dang! Can't get the curves rolled for sensible money/delivery. So it's going to be like this Panel attachment blocks underway. Tilt frame spacers to be made this weekend (hopefully) and Rob has made me a custom PIR alarm system for both cab and deck. When triggered it will send me and other designated peeps a text.

Will it therefore be difficult to explain the two baseball bats in the boot of the car if you are ever stopped by the powers that be with blue lights - or are you going to keep a couple of base balls & a helmet with the bats so it appears somewhat more realistic

Sadly the Tony Martin defence needs to be tested in court another couple of times before that's an option

What do you mean by you cant get the curves rolled? Did you want the top edges to fold 90° to create a broad edge at the top? If that's what you mean you don't need to roll them you just need some good old fashioned manual craft skills. I seem to recall you're using some kind of aluminium/foam sandwich material. It would be quite easy to do a curve with a flat top 90° to the wall.

Do you mean (roughly) that you want this?

The curves will make this thing. Giving up on that one minor-seeming detail will fundamentally affect the end result. It just requires a bit of creative thinking and maybe a little more handiwork. I can think of five ways of doing it right now, depending on the material and the structural details.
Don't abandon the curves and start hacking your material up. Let's work it out with a bit of overthinking first.

I can think of five ways of doing it right now, depending on the material and the structural details. Don't abandon the curves and start hacking your material up. Let's work it out with a bit of overthinking first. The curve on the Alupanel is a POP (piece of p1ss) on the CNC router. It's the aluminium 90 degree edge finisher that's the 'b'stard. My young amanuensis, the Gas Axe Kid, can hand form it like the curves on the wheel arches but there any imperfections/misalignments are pulled in by rivets on to the square tube underneath. Because the Alupanel edges are unsupported we might have a nice curve but we would have sheet distortion and that, frankly would look sheet. The 3 x 1.5 panels are only £40 (ish) so let's do the angular sections so she can get on the road this driving season and then revisit over the winter. I want curves but I also want side panels and be driving it with them by end April.

Try stealing it now ya barstewards - the old saying = 'where there's a will, there's a way.
I am afraid that nothing is sacred in this day and age.
