Cheers mate iam hoping for around the 100hp mark. They are 80 as standard and with freeflow exhaust and carbs I shouldn't be far off of the target

Its a really easy conversion if you can do it the way I have, the only problem is it involves making a few parts and modding a few parts. My conversion uses the standard alternator, starter motor, dizzy, coil pack ect. That means the wiring doesn't need altering at all. You can keep the standard driveshafts as well if you keep the k10 hubs or k11 1000cc hubs. Iam using a cg10 flywheel and gearbox because its small casing like the original which means stock driveshafts, gearlingkage and mounts. If you use cg13 gearbox you need to use the matching shafts but shorten them too fit the car. Turboing isn't difficult either as far as I can tell. But my cg10 gearbox wouldn't cope and 100hp will be enough. And its obviously more work to fit the cg13 gearbox, because you will need to make all new mounts instead just the one and also adapt the gear change linkage. There is a forum called micra sports club, there is lots of turbo stuff on there in the k11 forced induction section I will try and document my conversion to cg13 as soon as I get the carbs and get on with it. Oh yeah and that's another thing, going with carbs means no alteration to the fuel system, apart from a low pressure pump and a regulator. Also with injection there is some wiring to be done. And don't forget that with turbo setup you have a lot of extra weight (intercooler, oil cooler, turbo ect ect) and heat and load on everything. I have witnessed 100hp na minis that are quicker than 160hp turbo minis, so just cose you have lots of power doesn't mean your quicker Cheers Kev

Mate Just an idea with the gearstick,
Could the threaded bit go right over the black gearstick and into the gearstick gator??
So it would look like a gearstick rather than a gearknob (if you know what i mean?)
I think that would look sweet then
Cheers Adrian

Do the shortshift mod, that'll help with the self shifting thing and make the top a bit lower.

Yes that's the plan chaps, thanks for the tips anyho That is literally just shoved on top, the idea was to cover the entire lever part down to the gaitor. We shall see what it looks like once its chopped down tomorrow Cheers

New sidelight fitted Iam going to put the indicator in here and ditch the ones in the bumper, I think. Need to see how it looks first. Nylon sleeves to keep the coilover springs centralised when I jack the car up Not entirely sure what material it is because its a curse word to machine. Just doesn't cut properly at all. Poor finish on the parts but they will serve they're purpose Bonnet pins, the bonnet is so bent and stuff that the latch doesn't work. Also its very obviously bent because the corners stick up. So ill pin them down lol The nuts with no flats on have been machined like that because they have to be welded into the car, I can't get to both sides of the panel that I want to fix them to. So ill weld these in and it should look fine

Although I think ill use smaller britax lights Iam kinda interested in yours, it sounds like its an awesome bit of kit with the engine. Ill see what funds are like once its up for sale. Glad its up and running again
