thanks for organising it guys - it was a HOOT!

in what UNIVERSE was I not slowest in my class??? You were assisted by a BMW that spun 10 feet from the start line on it's first run - may well have spun a few more times round the rest of teh circuit. Then shed both it's front tyres on it's 2nd run so was unable to run for a third time with that driver - on a more serious note, Ian, I am SO sorry for dropping curse word onto the track on my second run (mortified doesn't cover it) - I will ensure next year that the old barge is fully shipshape and track ready thanks for organising it guys - it was a HOOT! - kfw Lack of spillage and debris would be good - at the drivers breifing before each session we asked everyone to ensure nothing was loose in the car - never thought to check the back of a pick up bed - Maybe I should have thought about the "pick up usage" from the previous day!!

I did cheat a bit with the locost didn't I.... Thanks Ian for letting me out on the track! Its a pity I can't drive it to it's full potential due to being a bit of a wimp with the loud pedal, and I was having trouble with the throttle cable coming loose on the carbs causing the jerkiness on light throttle. Hopefully i'll be able to push it harder next year when i've grown some balls. To be honest Adam it certainly impressed me - sure it was a snatchy bloody thing and looked chuffing hard to launch - it's actually got me thinking about changing dirrection for my track day fun - had we had a decent interval I'd have been begging for a go Was really disappointed that the 205 broke, was looking forward to trying to challenge Andy again but at least I managed to get it home ok. We recon it objected to the 'for sale' sign in the window had a great time out in Rob's E30 though, completely different to anything i'd ever driven before! I was also sorry to see the 205 busted but it shows the spirit of RR that people are prepared to lend out cars - I said to Rob (Judgie) if he spotted your dad to let me know as the Monza was parked in the infield doing nothing all day and he would have been welcome to belt that round for a session

It would have been a bit easier to drive on some 'normal' tyres. Those slicks softened up all the way through the first three runs, so a launch that got me a feck load of wheelspin on the first lap had me bogging down on the the 2nd and 3rd. I was planning to stick the A048Rs that were on the 205 on but after the mishap with the 205 there wasnt really time. There was certainly a LOT more to be had out of that car though. I feel guilty about my dad not getting a go on track. I'm not sure when he would have done it though as both him and I appeared to be flat out all day

Out of interest, would a 1.8TD need to go in above 1500cc forced induction? ;D
