Liking the cream wheels. I just think it needs lowering, then enjoy driving it Cheers, have no fear I'm enjoying driving it already It rides well, well shall do even more so when new rear shocks can be afforded and is lowered (some inch's) on spax springs (these sit high as standard). Reasons for dropping more; It would undoubtedly look cool Ride better round the corners ;D And against; I live in London = speed bump mania, zorst scrapes as is Ride would be compromised - better round twistys for sure but poorer everywhere else. We roll 4 up often and it's a comfy car Begrudged to chop a spax spring that rides well when the outcome might be regretful. Just think of the extra stain on my void bushes!!! So that's settled then, still tempted though. Maybe a bit off the front, wish I could afford a pucker coilover set up so I could do some fine tuning.

Mot today. Got the last test of day after I finished work and it all went well until he poked his thumb through the sill Dammed under seal stopped me seeing that before, it's within the wrong area of seat belt mount too, had his tape out and everything. Had to go back to work for the late shift then lay on the cold hard floor under streetlight and patched it up with aid from the light on a mates mobile phone. In truth after the A post job this was a walk in the park although a anvil is now on my wish list along with a pair of new sills at some point ;D Should pass in the morn as long as I can get it there what with the forcast snow. I love my mig me

Shame it's now snowed in at the bottom of the drive. No way I'm going to be able to shift it till it thaws. RWD transit is facing down hill though

I had big plans for this here motor over the xmas hols, spent far too much just enough time getting festively fat and merry instead;D However I did manage to find time to do something I've been meaning to do for a long time... garage clean out. No before pics though suffice to say this was a job of epic proportions and a whole heap of tat has been re-homed. I must admit, sad as it may seem that it fills me with joy to have a safe place to stow my pride and joy. Kids jack Granny's for their shopping trolleys round here OK so it's a leaky council spec garage but it's mine and I loves it

The cream steels looks really good! Yeah I was happy with them too. Sometimes things come up at prices you can't ignore and as such I've just scored these compomotive cx's on ebay for 33 sovs and am warming to them nicely. What do you reckon? Poss paint/polish action in the pipeline though I'm undecided on many options at the mo Really need to get that both wing*s* painted some time soon

i swapped the head for a 2.0 granada one, free flow ashley and a pipercross filter on my old estate-that worked for the nippiness
|
|
I then wanted to start cleaning the interior as it stinks of wood (the material not the smell of a boner) best quote ever!

Pinto Efi is the head to go for it flows better than the carbed heads but check the code to make sure it's unleaded D reg motors are the ones that can be either I've found aftermarket downpipes are allways too long and drop the system low, my ashley system sits nice and snug to the floor and the boxes are skidded so they don't rip off on speed humps ;D

I'll just leave this here. ;D Lovely old bus, great to see it enjoying a new lease of life. Many thanks for that Bri, I'm so sorely tempted to do this though as my good lady (always the voice of reason) said 'It scrapes getting off the drive already' I'll keep um peeled for a set of spare springs so I can re fit the spax ones if it's unlivable The boot is big enough for some planks of wood for driving over bumps anyhow ;D Maybe Tim, was thinking just the centers could work well though splitting up a small wheel with different colors may make them look smaller than they are... I'll have to think more about that. 2 litre power waiting in the wings I also have a worked over head with a lairy cam in the lock up too. The horses are in the stable as it were just need to let them out to play Do Ashley/anybody make a off the shelf system for these? I've only seen Capri ones up for sale which look like they will need some cutting and gluing to fit. Bortaf, cheers for all the help and advice on here and BSC. I'll no doubt be asking more dumb questions soon

Looked lovely with the cream steels That was my first thought too. They suit it better IMHO. Reckon the cx's will stay for a bit though (more than likly in there unmolested state) as I'm enjoying smoking off the bad tyres they are shod with whilst saving the good ones on the steels
