Thanks Davanger and Stevietuck.
Stevie, yes I still have this car. I'm spending less time in garage lately so there is no major updates as my job keeps me far away from it
Talking about car, during this winter it had a rat in the system I mean this beast:
This curse word made lot of damage to electrical loom. Most of wires were cut or chewed, so I could not start a car. As Lada wiring is simple it's all fixed and good for now, but to have everything perfect I'm looking for a brand new loom.
As I drive my car just in summer it went on one more trip last year. This time it went to Serbia. What I can say, loads of Italian cars and new generation Ladas over there also some Zastavas.
As you can check landscape pics on google I will not bother posting them here .
This trip was not about hunting cars but still some of them were spotted just like this ambulance Lada
It looks like its still in service.
EX pride of Zastava, Yugo is still visible on Serbian roads, just like this one accidentally passing by
I don't know maybe I just didn't pay much of attention but most of Yugos I spotted were lowered with nice polished rims and bucket seats or silly stickers all around the front or back.
Also I was glad to see this little thing still moving Zastava 750
This GAZ (Volga) 24 estate had some problems with engine starter but with out tools I couldn't help. Old guy is first owner of it from brand new.
So if anyone is thinking of visiting Belgrade - I can say it's worth it! There is loads to do and visit, so your holiday will be great. I would recommend car museum to start with, not a big place but with nice collection.
There you will find first Yugoslavian made formula:
Before leaving Serbia I have stopped at abandon gas station for a last shot:
Somewhere on my way back in Hungary:
At the moment on my working bench I have several head porting projects lined up. Here is one of them, 21011 head.
Plan is to reinforce the head and use it (after it's finished) on 2106 engine block with 80mm flat top pistons and 80mm crankshaft. But before I start messing with a new engine, old one has to be DYNO tested.
I will share results as soon it happens.
