Glenn - No not mine mores the pity Repair was made in 2 sections from what I remember Part 1 was made first as an angle repair with a radiused fold and then stretched along its edge to follow the curve of the inner wing Then part 2 was folded up long and trimmed to suit Then all welded together and dressed off

TonyBMW, Congratulations on a fabulous project! Thanks for sharing your work with us in such detail. I am planning to refurbish our e28 535is build in 1987 to some extend (it was my first BMW and we still have her). The front fenders need repair (rust in the wheel arches and bottom sections). Plans are to replace the fenders or attempt a repair like you have done (I am still deciding what to do). Naturally if I would live in your part of the world the job would be yours you do have a special calling I must say. Fantastic job, thanks again for sharing!

Sorry for the delayed reaction - I had missed checking the updates. End resullt looks fantastic - brilliant work on a great car.
(If the one I drove was representative, just tell him to be careful in the wet... particularly when using the steering wheel and the throttle pedal at the same time!)

I guess my modelling career will have to wait a little longer Looks like they have missed a great opportunity there, just like when Decca failed to sign the Beatles. ;D
