I seem to pootle around the forum making crude photochops, so I'll put them here too for completeness sake. Lada lowered, whitewalls, lace paint, shavedStandard Ten hot rod thing. roof chop, lowered, channeled, widened arches and running boards, removed bumpers and sidelights

Thanks for the positive comments people! I would love to rock that Nova GNX. The conundrum... V8 upfront or mid-engined like an X1-9?
I used to do this sort of chopping with magazine ads, scissors and glue back in the eighties when I dreamed I'd be a car designer by day. Photoshop so much easier. I never really finish them - they're always sort of sketches of the ideas I get in my head. I must get a garage and learn to weld one day.

All these are great, here is a very simple one I did learning a few years back. I will get myself a Merc like this one day.

Awesome work gents just need to ask some questions. What software do you you use? In the spirit of cheapness is there an alternative to the mainstream photoshop? Last but no least is there a good idiots guide to doing this. I have looked at google but there is so much information it like an overload. Liked the angle on this. Anyone got a MK2 Cav? If you're a legit kind of person then Paint Shop Pro is what you're after for value for money, recentish versions are available for a not too pocket denting price, I think I even managed to grab a copy for a fiver once, we are going back three or four years here though. As for learning the basics search google for Digimods Bible, that should give you everything you need to get started. The basics are easy but to get to the level of OctagonPaul and yzn takes a lot of time and skill.

I just use Photoshop, was lucky enough to be given a copy but I'm told GIMP is good too if you're after a cheaper alternative. There's two main methods to photochopping too. First is the easy one which is what I do which is effectively cutting bits out of pictures and moving them about to where you want them (lowering a car is the easiest of these to do, I reckon). The second is to actually paint in the details and changes, with some copy-pasting as well, but I'm not skilled enough with digital stuff to do that, so I just sit in awe at those that are. TL:DR - What they said ^^

Trying to think why no one's built this for real....complete suspension redesign, basic...complete floor redesign, trivial....totally impractical, who cares? That is lush!
