people like various things for various reasons. I have suspension bikes. I have non suspension bikes. I've been into cycling for 30 years. And am keener on bikes from my younger days.
I think that's the general feeling of people on this forum. Things that are familiar from when you were growing up. With cleaner lines, simple, easy too fix.
In fact, someone liked my white BMX so much, even tho it was a low end Toys R US bike. That they stole it from by my house the other day. They untied it, yeah ok I didnt have seventeen knots on the thick rope. That were tied by a ship load of sailors. But even so.
Its sickened me. Cant leave my bike outside my house. So I think, I'll get rid of them all. Put them on Gumtree or whatever.
That grifter looks fantastic, i love the old school bmx's with the mag wheels. Had a couple myself, last one i restored ( fixed and gave it some Tlc, it was a white Raleigh.. ) and then a 'mate' borrowed it and decided to just leave it behind my house up an allyway when done with it....resulting in me going out in the morning to find it gone..
I've got a lot of bikes inside. In the bedroom and the kitchen. Not sure what I'll do with all the space if I get rid of them.
Ive got 2 bikes outside, that were all tied together, when the white bike was stolen. My RBK alloy framed mtb. A blue dual sus MTB, that's not got a front brake. Ive retied the mega secure old rope. Put my tescos bike lock on them too. Thinking of fitting an old bike chain to hold them together, too.
As for old school BMX with mags. Well I've probably shown my Grifter on the Wildcat mags that I fitted at the scrapyard, to get it home. I have a mark 1 Raliegh Burner. Its Blue, with modern 3 spoke mags that are an almost perfect colour match. Don't think they suit it tho. So not took a picture of it. Could fit alloys.
