We has a coilover got the nearside done today will get offside done the weekend After chopping springs we had a bump stop issue With a little modification we don't Which enables this with plenty in reserve I then reversed off the ramp and caught the inner tyre wall on the ramp and holed it Slight dampner on the afternoon but I do have some spares so not too serious

If you can't weld then this car would have certainly broke the bank

Wonderful car! I need to learn to weld; I swear every single time I do anything on my Triumph I find more rust... and all of it's hidden underneath! My battery tray's held together with quite a lot of hope and not a lot of metal :/

Right this is getting silly I can set it it very low and still have suspension driveability might be an issue I hope to try it tomorrow. I imagine the steering is gonna be heavy to say the least. I will need to fit a bigger diameter bore master cylinder as brake pedal does travel a long way Currently looking for a taper reamer as I reckon I can drill and bush the steering drop arms and redo the taper upside down, this will bring the track rods back towards their normal angle. I would like to find a method of sorting the lower arm angle too, ball joint is going to be close to it's maxed out angle

Right this is getting silly I was going to say "Not at all" but actually, "Yes it is" ;D If you moved just the outer ends of the steering arms they'd end up not parallel to the lower wishbones and induce bump steer

Starting the work for MOT I had to replace the exhaust due to many cracks in joints. The rear mount had rusted so I have to weld a patch, this spread along the front edge of boot floor trying to find an edge I went into the inner wing and this has ended up in a large pile of filler dust as it appears the rear inner wings are held together by patches glued on with sealer and filled over Started with the shocker reinforcing plate.. Lets underseal it then put filler over the top and underseal it again!! And under that well attached around to seatbelt mount More filler And under more filler was the seam that runs over the center of the inner arch

Jesus Holy Christ, that is some pretty awful bodgery of epic proportions. But if anyone can get it back on the road it is you . You weren't kidding about it going to the shed for a short while from the last time we spoke!

this looks like such a cool car , the welding sucks but if you can put the time in it to fix it then brilliant as its what i would call a natural rat car , meant in the coolest of ways!!!! looks soo right in the pics above!,.
