Nothing to add about the bushes, but just keep cracking on with it. It'll eventually be done.

That press looks awesome for a home brew, unusual to see a ram mounted that way up.

Take a look at this... www.instructables.com/tag/type-id/category-workshop/channel-tools/I took some ideas from there and made my own as a fixed point press would be a little limited... Now I'll need to find diferente sizes of metal tubbing for the diferente size parts to press...

Scrap bearings tend to be good for this, and thick wall sockets are useful aswell just buy a cheap set and you've got most of what you need for the basic jobs. Solid bar is preferable if you're really having to put the pressure on.

On the top there's 2 2X2 iron squares so it will be good for the 20T jack... Both my dailies are good for another year now let's continue with the sanding...

Hi Cesar. Happy New Year. Any encouraging pictures with 164 wanted. BR With this photobucket nonesense I'm delaying the post of any pics and trying to find a diferent route... Using chrome would be an option but I think they'll findout eventually... Mounted the wings and removed the front clip and bonnet to be straightened and dents removed to receive the same treatment. Car developed an leak on the metal part that connects the coolant hose from the engine to the heater core so I made a bypass for it... Drove it last week with good wheather and still with the bonnet and front clip to arrieve at is resting place to run out of fuel... Time isn't helping the sanding has is moist everywere... Also some other projects came in the way...

I am using google photo storage for this case. Works for me so far. Good to hear that you have got it on the road. I am waiting as well for my next project to arrive on this week. Since like 5 years now it moves on its own power but still in filler primer. Since the removal of the 2 parts I've been straightning some dents and sanding a bit. Got the bonnet stripped of paint on the outsider and some on the inside.

And it works!!! Why I wasn't notyfied for this?!?!
Any how…
You all can see in the photos above is my non working speedometer and all that is broken… 3 cogs broken/damaged and so since I bought 2 used sets, 1 has a rev counter and working well, the other was supposed to work but didn't.
Someone has damaged the grey cog so they can tamper it… Now is working fine…
More to come and me to see the news around here!!!

Small details update since I don't have photos of it… Almost all of the car is painted in filler primer just missing the front nose. I had to do so many things to the daily because some A** came into my roadlane and tottalled my grey daily but since I paid 850€ 3 years after and they gave me 1100€ and the car I didn't haggle for more… Bought another '96 Mitsubishi Lancer 1.3 12V for like 500€ almost straight and with good tyres on but with some faulties nonetheless. Anyhow a year later made the commitment to replace the original 320000km's engine and gearbox that were a bit noisy and smoky for the salvage car that had a like ''new'' engine, ''new'' gearbox with new clutch mainly because this one had been installed with sequential LGP kit from Prins and because the shop who I gotten quoted 750€ to do the job would just charge me 350€ to legallise it to be road legal so in 4 day's I've managed to gain 400€ and done the car has it should be. I've got all the mitsubishi workshop manuals for the torque specifications of the bolts and nuts...even the ones for the wiring… Here is its diary!!!

Oil change done with Comma X-flow 20W50 mineral oil and fraam oil filter.
Broke the salvage Lancer for parts for the daily or the other Lancer that I got and the other day I came across with another Lancer nearby with a broken timing belt and a rusty roof that I bought for 150€... that was a steel since it was almost straight with alloy wheels and almost new front tyres...
Parts have been shelved and plenty of them… now let's see if I can resume the works on this car...
