Na used a guy local to me, luckily he even pointed out to me that the recessed pump is taller than the tanks it's self, so it's been amended to 260mm in height. Guys quoted me £150 I gotta take the pumps and the old tank over to him so he can make sure the measurements are right, and to make sure he makes a way to fasten down the pumps into the recesses Blimey that's cheap - mine was just a box with baffles a fill tube - return line and and outlet at the lowest point and was pretty much same price did you use the same guy as me? Other guy has let me down, so I've gone with your guy now...hes quite willing and very comminitive...he's quoted me £250 ish + £20 postage, so still a very good price...and hes got the same diagram but with the correct dimentions Thanks again B'Child your a star I found him absolutely brilliant to deal with and very pleased with the end product - once he quotes firm he stays fixed with it which was nice as I've had bad experiences with other companies and reasonable quotes become lousy estimates if you understand what I mean..

oh I do, but considering the cost of an off the shelf item, which wont fit my car, the price quoted is just fannytastic Other guys work, the guy who quoted me £150, his work is spot on, but it turns out hes a kretin, pisses people about, forgets what hes building, then rather than just making the thing, buggers you about with excusses, which is a crying shame. at least I have other things to be getting on with in the mean time. I can finish of the wiper cradle (and buy another as this ones goosed) and possibly get the dash made up properly. but I have to find a seat that fits nice before i possition the clocks.

Well wiring is all routed up....some of it wants shortening to tidy it up a bit, and I've started to remove some of the excess that's not needed, speaker wires etc, also to go will be the electic windows, but I'm keeping the central locking....so just waiting on the fuel tank now, once I have that I can make sure it all still works, then strip it back to a bare shell to start the final fix on the welding front Wonder if I should keep the parking sensors This mess is all going to sit up under the dash. Tail light wiring, and tail gate wiring, only thing I need to keep from the gate wiring is the heated rear window. Interior lights, central locking sensor, and sunroof wireing, sunroof wires are gonna be trimmed out. Airbag sensor, and fuelpump/guage plugs. Top view of the dash brace, looks quite neat this bit Wiper mech looks at home now.

going to fit an led where the airbag plug is for the first few miles....that way if it lights up I can have a laugh as to what might have happened if the bag was connected

Not a lot going to be happening till the week end, I'm certainly not posting pictures of the cock up I made of the near side wing till I've sorted it out

Well I beated the wing into submission, it now follows the same flat as the rest of the cars profile, as it was kicking in at the front. it still wants a little wrestling around to get it lined up, , but once in place that gaps are even, but horrendous. tha gap between the door and the quarter are fine, but between the wing and the door its about 5mm to wide, so I'll end up lengthening the edge of the wing to close the gap up a bit. when the wing is lifted to align the swages, the gap does become even, honestly, but check out that horrendous gap

I somehow managed to miss this thread. Has been one of my fave builds this year to read though, and its nice to see it continuing as sadly a lot of projects like this end up abandoned. I am seriously looking forward to the end result and i applaud the work and craftmanship put into it!

easier to modify the wing for sure i just fitted pattern ones on mine & i thought they were a good fit, just had to spend a few hours on the lower front corners where they meet the front panel - i'm halfway through updating my thread with pics at the mo' on here - link in my siggy.
