Jees, I love all of the lancias, can anyone explain how the belt system works on the engine? two seperate belts there!

I don't know for sure, but it looks like the lower pulley of the upper cam-belt if probably gear driven off the crank, while the lower belt is driven directly off the crank to deal with the water pump and what I would assume to be the dry sumps oil pump. I'm not sure why though.

I'm aiming for a dry weight of 888kg on the Datsun when it's finished. With 210-230 hp at the wheel, it's going to fly. It's irritating that 950kg is very easily achievable with just what's done already, but getting to that mythical 888 number...will take some doing. Damn L24 engines are heavy!

Gran Turismo says it possible... so it must be true!
