I'm sure I've seen that Corsa around the Burnham on Sea area . Liking the Panda, they're a practical little car, and, in 4x4 form, suprisingly capable. As standard, they're pretty good too. I have a thing for 80's Fiats and really fancy a Mk1 Strada, but, with only 76 (in the UK) left, that could be difficult. Can just make out the 1000 badge, this'll be the 999cc FIRE version, probably, great little engine. I think the 1.1 and 1.2 versions are similar.....

I'm just down the road in Highbridge, small world!!. Recently moved here after a 22 year absence!.
I've owned a few Alfa Romeos in my time (all 164 3.0's), which are sort of Fiats, but, the only Fiat I have ever owned, was a Punto 60 S, which was passing through my hands for a short period before moving on. Had to replace the clutch and a few other bits, but, it wasn't a bad little car.
Nearly acquired a 1978 126 when I was younger, really wish I had now, the little twin cylinder rear mounted engine made it a riot to drive!

Burnham is pretty much as I remember, moved to Glastonbury in 1987 (when I was 8), parents live over that way, but, I wanted to get back to the country (after living in Bristol for 8 years). Current fleet, well, just one car that is not currently on the road, due to the winter months, between everyday cars as I recently sold my Mercedes 300TE. Have a 1987 Jaguar XJ6 3.6 (XJ40), that I've had for nearly 9 years now, and, well, that's it until my new daily, which will probably arrive in Feb. Won't be anything retro, due to work requirements .

The 126 I nearly acquired would have been a freebie too, which is all the more annoying. Had a load of rust in the front boot area, very common and repairable, plus performance was a bit strangled, had a reluctance to rev hard, which they can do quite easily. All repairable though. Wish I had taken it up now.

They used to be very common (the Panda), but, vanished overnight it would seem....now, the Lancia Y10, there's a weird one to seek out. Basically a Panda, with superior rear suspension and a more luxurious range of interiors. Sold in fewer numbers over here and I don't know if any still exist.
Yeah, should have. Would have looks good, polished up with some 13" minilites!!

I keep checking eBay for 4x4's, worth getting hold of a good one as they're quite rare, and, suprisingly good offroad, just check some of the Youtube videos. The new Panda, is also good in 4x4 form, but, a little underpowered with the 1.2 Petrol. The 1.3 Cross model, seems to fair better. Sturdy little things as the 4x4 system (especially the Steyr Puch system on the originals, is slightly over engineered and doesn't have much weight to contend with.
