Or: Having fun in a car for the first time in what feels like ages. Nothing like a bit of solo road time with the music turned up on a bright Spring morning to help the mood.
Wasn't bright when I left mind. 10 minutes into my journey through the centre of London I stopped for fuel. Receipt says 06:18.
'Twas worth it though. I went via Brighton to pick up autoshiter (and occasional R-R visitor) Barrett as I was collecting some magazines from him. Rolled into Goodwood at around quarter to nine and it was already heaving.
Delage owner also has Borgward Combi which is probably going to finance an engine re-build on his pre-war Bentley project.
MG in cool wheel shock! Lovely Cosmics on this C.
This Elan looked really modern.
Two of the three Flaminia coupes in attendance.
Lovely J.A.Pierce wheels on the Honda.
E-Type was a '62 car that had a front ender in the Seventies. Jaguar could only supply a new V12 bonnet so thats what it got and the rear arches were flared to match.
512BB was my favourite before 1987.
One of three 240ZGs in the country apparently.
Piper
Sticking around until quite late (midday!) means interesting photographic opportunities once its quiet, though you obviously have no choice as to the subject matter!
Would have been better if focused properly on the car and not the beam in front of it
Many thanks to Barrett for being so knowledgable and for my boot full of magazines!
