They're 12 Gauge in the pic, but I think they'd be mighty large as cufflinks Here's some random .410 ones I've found, you can see they're actually brass opposed to coated steel I'll have a rummage round and see what I can find, 20 gauge could be a good size, i'll grab a few sets of sizes

You really want some brass .410's for cufflinks, not something you'd usually find in a field.
Almost all cartridges are coated steel not brass due to cost, but because of there size a lot of .410 are still brass
I can look in the bins next time I go shooting if you like?

I had my lil person in the Eunos yesterday, she loved it, roof down, giggles all the way. She's not even a year old so in a full baby seat type thing, fit in just fine Go on then, have a pic, bless her, she was cheap, though having looked over her she's not rotten, has a strong engine and some choice bits so I'm well happy

I picked my Eunos up yesterday, I love it!
It's my second one so I knew how much fun they are.
I'll not put any pics up because it was cheap and it looks it, its stickerbomed up, vinyl wrapped etc, but like I said it was cheap and its got some choice bits, half cage, coilovers, mazdaspeed ms-03 wheels etc
They're just so damn fun

I'd like an mx-5
A cheap one
Not so fussed about bodywork, I'd like it be be mechanically sound and have mot and pref some tax, i'd love it to not dump mother nature on the inside as well if possible
Budget - around the £600 mark
Anyone?

I have half the camshaft from the original engine as mine, weirdly the bearing surface is smooth and comfy in the hand...

The first one I figure I dropped something in the inlet and it chewed the compressor wheel up.
The second was second-hand and an unknown and it ate its bearings
The third was a mix of the first and second cobbled together for the Gathering and wasn't really expected to last

This is a KKK K03 from a 1.8T Passat
It may be a little laggy, something to find out I guess, but I have been reliably informed it uses the same mountings as the turbo used on the 1.9 Diesel VAG engines which have a smaller compressor so at least there is always that option...

Well she got me to the gathering and back and she got me to work this morning, but on the way home that distinctive rattle reappeared as the turbo shat itself once more. No worries, pulled onto the drive, bonnet off and cleared this space from the crappy old turbo A quick comparison Now its been a nightmare to get the old turbo out due to lack of space so the new one will never fit there. No worries, I'll stick it up here, move the intercooler to the front etc, look you can actually see my engine, plus now everyone will definitely know she's turbo'd

Cheers Violet, I can't comment on the sound, its just a rattley, droney sort of experience from the inside No worries Mark, shame you didn't take on on the road to enjoy the comedy steering box and lack of brakes... So happy to have finally got a car to the Gathering, was a great journey there and back. Now I have some things to sort ready for next time, mostly the brakes, fitting my new, bigggggger turbo and trying to suss out why anything over 60mph causes the back end to hop around uncontrollabley

I ride my moped in a 50 limit all the time, I just put myself where people can only overtake when it is clear to do so, I've yet to be killed.
I'm riding on a full car license, so 50cc only, 30mph, no L's etc
I have factory derestricted mine, it looks completely standard but will now do 40mph which I deem a lot safer than 30mph. I have passed many a copper and they don't bat an eyelid. It cost me about £3 to do, is was simply a case of cutting the restrictive cone out the exhaust and cutting off the scavenge pipe that stops the 2 stroke thing doing its, err, thing properly. Then I shoved a £3 bigger jet in the carb to keep the fuelling as it should be.
I also love being slow, it lets you take it all in, its actually a pleasure to commute

Well, I suppose this means that there will be no 4 wheel steer option I read somewhere that when doing this sort of thing you should mount the tie rods directly to the suspension arm, that way the angle stays the same what ever the suspension position? Plus it'll be neater and less weight?

Is it not the standard foam spoiler from the mk3 cabriolet? All the cabby spoilers I've seen are thicker than this, and have a gap underneath rather than the slimline flush fitting type. The thicker one with the gap is the xr3 affair... I've def seen this on many a mk3 cab, maybe the early years as I've also seen the gappy one

I've made a turbo out of broken pieces of turbo, it involved welding, a blow torch and a fecking big hammer but I have a turboish. It whines like a curse word but for some reason boosts to 1.1 bar (according to my ancient gauge), damn this thing is fun! Question is will it make it 80 miles the the Gathering without killing the turbo and shitting all of the pieces into the pistons?
