Bookmarked. 👍
I reckon it would definitely benefit visually from some higher profile tyres.
Will be interested to follow your progress. 😀

I’ve just bought an Aygo as a family “2nd car” and I have to say that I absolutely love it. 55mpg without even trying, £20 road tax, and it only cost £100 to add it to my existing insurance policy. Boot is small though, and even if you fold the rear seats forward to get extra space, the rear hatch isn’t huge, so getting big stuff in and out will be fun. Regardless, as a cheap set of backup wheels I’m really impressed. I paid £1250 for a 79,000 mile 2010 5-door, that needed a bit of cosmetic tlc. A good clean, some new mats, swap the factory stereo for one with Bluetooth connectivity, added a decent phone mount, some cheap Halfords wheel trims, and replaced the broken mirror. I’m about £1600 all in and over the moon with it.

Ah, ok. I see.
I had visions of araldite or similar quick setting stuff that would be going off in the syringe before you knew what you were doing.
Can you clean up and reuse the syringe and needle, or is it a case of do a batch and bin them?

In the UK the centre one is called a plumb-bob. Used to give a vertical line.

I’d offer words of wisdom if I had any, but I’m afraid I don’t.
I think you’re right to address it though, and not leave it.
As for the epoxy, yes, next time you do some a tutorial would be helpful. I’m assuming you use one syringe for the glue, and a second for hardener?

Not being familiar with those cars......where are you with this project?? Is it near finished or?? I've still got a bit to do; Fit axle carrier panel, repair rear inner arches and I still have a bit to do on the driver's side floor. There is also a little bit on the rear edges of both sills. And an oil tank… Don’t mention the oil tank! I mentioned it once, but I think I got away with it…

Great build. One question that I may have missed the reason for -- why is the ramp slightly offset? I was going to ask the very same thing. The asymmetry is the kind of thing that makes my teeth itch...

My dad had a single, aggressive, cataract in his early sixties. I understand it’s quite uncommon. Nice to know that medical procedures have progressed so significantly in the intervening forty years or so.

I used a VW Beetle relay on my rewire, because that was the only other vehicle in my experience that used that type of dipswitch. Back in the late 90s Trabant parts were harder to source in the UK than they are now. My only “reliable” source at that time was a fantastically eccentric chap called Graham Goodall, and it would involve lengthy phone calls, the posting of cheques and a fairly long wait.

It is a real shame that the MoT exemption for historic vehicles wasn’t extended to vehicles over 3.5 tons. It makes owning and running a classic commercial that much harder, and is the death knell for many perfectly salvageable trucks.
I’m just going through the rigmarole of renewing my HGV license and have a medical in the morning. I will have to do the full five days for my CPC before September too.

Hi.
A bit late to this party, somehow it had passed me by.
Anyway, great to see another commercial getting some love. What are its capacities? Regs for classic commercials are a bit of a minefield, and I don’t imagine the DVSA are going to be particularly impressed with the current brush guard come MoT time.
When you get around to sorting the chassis you’ll have to take care to make sure it looks as “factory” as possible, because chassis mods on commercials are only supposed to be done by authorised specialists in the UK these days. Provided it doesn’t look recent/bodged though, you should be fine.
Looking forward to watching it progress. 👍👍
