Hi all!! Some of you may already know that I bought a none runner Opel Diplomat B 5.4 Chevy V8 totally original and complete hadnt been touched for 15 years and minus keys.... Pics as it was delivered!! So the past few weekends have been spent working on getting it tidied up and working and tonight the breakthrough was made she now drives like a dream!! The car is cool on a massive scale!! sounds runs and drives like a beast!! Pretty sure this car is the only one in the country, its huge and a real head spinner! The plan was to get the engine running and break it for the engine, box n brakes but as the car stands a good wkend on it would probably have an MOT on her! so not sure what to do at this point!!! More updated pics to be loaded up soon!

PLEASE don't break it. I saw that on ebay (assuming its the same one?) And there cant be any/many others surely? So much potential in its own right. Putting the motor in another car would be such a waste. Especiallys seeing as chev v8's are common as mook

It would be uncool to break it! Give it a proper wash and a polish. Some rims and some slammage!

don't break it... it would be a shame, as a lot of them have been broken in the past because of that engine .... it still has the old german "Zoll" plates, haven't seen them for ages....

TBH I can't see why you would want to break up such a great motor for an engine that's not likely to be hard to source anyway. Your car and your choice obviously, mind.

please don't break it! Its a cool car, so rare now too It would make an epic lowrider mind. I'm sure when youve mentioned this before you said if you did break it the shell would go as a whole which is something I guess

What about tidying it up, sticking a MOT on it and selling it on. I'd imagine you'd get a good price for it as it is so rare and buy the engine and box u want with the proceeds?
As mentioned above it'd be a superb lolo

I would not break it if it were mine, if you do break it for engine and box I will have whats left and fit a modern engine it.

You can't break that! There's not enough old Opel's in the UK as it is!, Get it cleaned up, get a ticket on it and take it to Billing in July, I guarantee a crowd around it!
What year is it BTW?

get a ticket on it, clean it up nice, sell it for say £3000? (wild guess)
then spend that on a far hotter small block Chevy and box than the one already in there...
Its not just "uncool" to break it but its economically silly.
You can get a cutout SBC for £500.
