Hi,
I thought you may be interested in a few pics of my recently completed project. I bought a Nova Sport for £500 back in October 2006 and with the help of my dad have been restoring it since.
Here she is just before I took ownership... nice
So I started by stripping it to the bare shell.
The shell was then karted off and made good using panels from a low mileage donor car.
After extensive bodywork the car was painted (7 litres of 2k Polar White!)
I then started adding the trim.
The marmite of recaro's, love 'em or hate 'em!!
The engine.
The original Weber DCOE 40's (specially made for the Sport.)
New kunifer fuel and brake lines, these were a big job.
Every single nut, bolt, bracket and fitting has been zinc/clear plated.
No stone left unturned (Quaiffe internals were fitted to the steering rack.)
Suspension and chassis components bare metaled, rust treated, zinc primered and hammerited (sprayed.)
Engine in
Exhaust manifold in Cermakrome by camcoat.com (very good.)
Fitting the original 'Sport' decals.
My first outing (the day after fitting the decals!) at Billing VBOA 2008.
Were I was lucky enough to win car of the show (The Chairmans Cup.) Here I am with my dad.
Today, I finally fitted the original 5x13" steel wheels
All that's left to do now is fit the bumper flashes and wheel trims.
Hope you're enjoyed :-)
Comments welcome.
