Oldsmobile box appears to be toast. Suggestions so far are that I've knackered either the sprag or a clutch hub. Realistically that means I have to drag the Buick out and get that MOT'd and on the road pronto. I know it needs suspension bushes looking at, and no idea what "storage" will have done to the trans on that one either. A nice job for the weekend then. Bum.

I have the bushes, I just haven't got round to doing it as I was going to do the whole car at once really. Needs a bit of body and paint. Thought I'd use the bushes as an excuse to have aleisurely strip down of the front suspension and paint it all POR15 black. Been standing 8 or 9 months now so I bet it needs a bit more besides as well...
Typically although the Olds has a TH400 its a special version of it done only in full size Oldsmobiles 1965 & 1966. A "regular" TH400 doesn;t work the same way. I might go for a T200R4 or T700R4 conversion. See how much of a mess I can get into with that then.
