I need to tax both my cars this month so I'm getting rid of some stuff that I've hoarded because 'it'll come in handy one day'
So, this is a set of CBR600 F2 Bike carbs, and the fuel pump to suit. The main jets have been opened up to 1.5mm to suit the 1300cc Golf I fitted them to, at the advice of bike carb specialists Bogg Bros in Yorkshire.
The fuel pump makes the whole job a lot easier, as most people buy Facet pumps and pressure regulators, and end up fiddling with them for ages to get the fuelling right, but this avoids all that, as the pump is designed to deliver the right amount of fuel at the right pressure for the carbs.
Here they are the second turn of the key after being fitted to my golf:
The manifold pictured was a home made effort to fit them to the Golf (can you tell? ) and it's available too if you really want it. The plate was professionally CNC cut using the inlet gasket as a guide, but the tubes could do with lopping off and re-doing as the welding's a bit 'functional'
