Hi Guys, This is my latest project, I decided to make a start on it whilst I am awaiting the money to get the exhaust for the Cortina. At 10 this morning this is what she lookd like. After about an hour remoing stubborn bolts with the angle grinder, she was looking like a gasser But she needed to be higher at the front, so up she went After a couple more hours messing around she looked like this. The chassis is a bit worse for wear but a day cutting and welding should get it sorted. These are the worst areas. I will get the Cortina out of the garage and get the chassis in at some point, just need to decide what body I am going to use, I would like a Model A coupe but that will depend on finances and what is about at the time. Cheers, Stu.

Nice, I wish the chassis I am using was that solid. Mine is alot worse than that.

[] thinking Thinking outside the box (^ see what i did there ;D) what about doing something a bit off the wall, modern take on the hot rod idea. take something like this: and break it down into 4 sections. chassis/engine/body/front end now apply that to a retro car. like the Golf ^ but better proportioned (the rear on the Golf is too low/squat, the front tyres to tall. I reckon it could work, its definitely different and should (maybe?) be ok points wise for the BIVA or whatever it's called this week!! Maybe even use the Scimitar body but narrowed by an inch or two with the front end off completely?

Guys, Thanks for the positive reponses, I'm not too sure on the golf idea it doesn't really float my boat The gold A sedan is my mates car and you are correct it is bnow built gasser style. I have driven that actual car car and it goes really well even with the standard eseex engine in it. As for thinking outside the box, I know of a Reliant Kitten fibreglass Funny car body that could be made to fit I have more photos to upload but my internet at home as packed in so I will get them up as and when I can. I did consider getting a 100E or 105E body and grafting that on, I may have to start getting some measurements Cheers, Stu.
