I'm in a pickle. The Polo is nearly done, just the Clio to put back together (a months work at most), so I need some help with what to do next.
100E
This is my uber long term project. I started it when I was 14, it was at the stage it is now by the time I was 17 and has been in storage since (i'm now 25)

I built it around Sierra XR4x4 running gear, but with a Lotus style backbone chassis and double wishbone suspension all round.

The major work is all done (chassis/suspension) but I don't want to use the Cologne boat anchor anymore so i'd need to work out a way to fit something else. I put a lot of thought into getting it low - the photos are with the suspension at full height, ride height is about 2" lower and then 3" of compression so perfect for bags. Ground clearance on everything but the sills is huge, as the exhausts run inside the sills. I also built it to use 17" wheels with decent profile tyres, but now i'd want to convert to 5 stud so I can run some big Halibrands.

The only problem I can forsee is that it will need an IVA test. It's not a major problem as it's not finished I can do the rest of the mods to suit, but it's an extra cost to include.
Plus points
Super Cool
All hard work done
One of a kind
Bad Points
Needs IVA
Lots of Work - I reckon 2 years at least
May want to change things once I get into it
All the finishing bits cost money - the whole car only stands me at £600 at the moment, including a lot of mega rare cool bits.

This was my previous daily driver before the Polo. I started a GSi conversion and some general welding/tidying but have since decided I can't afford 15mpg for a "daily" car so have bought a Frontera TD to use as an engine donor. I've done a lot of work with the front suspension to get it low, but the rear suspension will need more work as i'll need to use a Jag IRS diff for strength and useable gear ratios, which means custom mounts and driveshafts.
Old chopped springs stance

New custom made coilover stance

It was an awesome tat hauler when I had it on the road, and would be going "back to work" once it's finished. All the front end work is finished.
Plus Points
Front end is all painted so just a big jigsaw puzzle
Excellent family car
Should be good on fuel
Looks like a hearse
Doesn't need an IVA
Relatively cheap to finish
Much quicker to finish - though probably still 6 months work.
Bad Points
Rear end needs lots of work
Cool but not in the same league as the 100E
Looks like a hearse
Pics of cool modified versions would be welcome.
