Yeah your probably right, steal your own car from a show ground In front of many many people, then make sure its posted on pretty much every mainstream car forum within the hour... Why would any one possibly risk doing a insurance job on a car so obvious as this while surrounded by hundreds (maybe thousands?) Of people. When they could just do it from which ever unit or what ever its kept in? |

An inside job, that's how. ... steal your own car ... insurance job Inside job doesn't always mean insurance job - could have been a planned theft by a 'plant' from some outside source. |

given the amount of stuff going 'missing' from the pod over recent years and instantly disappearing without a trace, id be astounded if it isnt something to do with their staff or security. i value my stuff enough to shun any event at the pod these days....

Grrr. Billing aquadome (not far from there) is another theft hotspot sadly. Cars, bikes have been stolen, along with traders takings, and last time I was there a purse stolen from my friends car!

It's all well and good saying its probably some gone in 60 seconds job, but it could just as easily be a couple of opportunistic scrotes that saw a chance and went for it. It's hardly going to be the most difficult car to steal is it, I doubt it has much if any security on it

not been funny but saying its an inside job is a bit insulting to the crew. An seeing as its been filmed raging down the m25, your completely wrong, and why the hell would someone pull an inside job at somewhere like a the pod with thousands of people around, when they could get it from a workshop at night, use some common sense lol.
It wont have have any security and a push button start, not hard if you have the balls to do it, unless one of the team spots it driving out who else is gunna recognise a non team member driving it around the pod.

bizare how this managed to get out of the gate and onto the roads.
anyhow aperently now it's got plates on and seen around windsor. so if anyones down that way keep a nosey out

Apparently there was word of a chase in Kent, but someone rang up Kent Police and they could not confirm. I've heard a helicopter or two buzzing in the distance around the A2 though. Could be completely irrelevant but you just never know.

Anything seems like fair game to whoever is doing it. And it happens all to often for it to just be opportunistic imho I'm of the view that its either somone who works there, Or a local that knows whats what on site and how to get away with it. Another thing when ive been there, Is ive noticed that the dirt track to the north of the site seems to be used quite a bit. And on google maps, goes straight up through fields to another road |
