Here we have my Tax Exempt Series IIa
She's solid where it counts, the chassis is good and strong. Bodywork is well used, but that the charm of an old Landy.
The Bulkhead lets this little girl down, its actually a Series 3 item, replaced sometime around 2006 no doubt due to rot. Unfortuantly, its now showing its age, the foot wells need rust repairs. Being a Series 3 bulkhead you get the added benefits of servo assisted brakes and a heater that actually heats the cabin.
I bought a dead IIa bulkhead and have carefully removed the dash panel from it, ready to be welded in place on the current bulkhead, so you get the proper looks, with the bonuses mentioned above. I've removed the plastic dash, this means currently there's no clocks and lots of wires. Doesn't effect driving her, though I would recommend a trailer to collect. Also I have a very good razor edge bonnet, IIa windscreen and mounts.
Being a late IIa, she would of rocked the lights in the wings, I was never a fan of this look, so I bought some flat fronted wings and the grill panel with lights in the middle (all early Series II) which is in amazing condition (check eBay for how much these things are) and fitted these
She's been roller painted a nice green colour, obviously not the best, but again, adds to the charm of a Landy.
Engine wise, she starts and drives pretty much perfectly.
4 General Super All Grip tyres with less than 1000 miles on them
So, basically a cheap project for someone. Yeah you can go buy one on eBay for the same monies, but it'll of sat in a field for 15 years. This ones still got mot!!!
£750ono
Interior:
Showing lash of dash and wires (note gearbox tunnel is removed here, it'll be back on)
Bulkhead issues, you can see a litte grot in the footwell, but more importantly the piece removed by a po. I have an excellent condition panel to fix this
