Hi all. New on here. I began my retro fetish with a E21 323 back in 1997. Had a few minis,mk1 astra ect ect. Here is my Raudi Quatnot. My previous car was this monster of an evo(kind of modern retro) The BMW behind is a beast too. More on that in a bit. Unfortunately due to some bad property episode had to sell this, but, as it only got driven properly 4 or 5 times a year and was a liability and uncomfortable on the road, it was not such a bad thing. Its now being enjoyed by the new owner who has the time to get some use from it. Well onto the BM. Its my freinds amd its super duper. A E32 735 with a clutch pedal and a big turbo. It makes 400 bhp and near 500 ft/lbs Both of them on track. So now I got a new project on the go. '84 audi 80 Quattro Started off very fresh but a bit weak looking,in stock form. It is Credit to its former owners. Runs perfect,no rot at all. Have some great plans for this, involving a turbo of course. Threw some wheels and springs at it,and it starts to make sense. Here it is with my brothers G60 golf. don't expect much to happen yet, money is needed elsewhere for now,but I'm sure ill update when I do start the project in ernest.

Hello and welcome, love the Audi. As a whipper snapper a guy down the road from me had a brown 90 in that shape sounded cool and I thought it look awesome. Would love to own one. Your mate 735 is a bit spesh too

So purists wont be happy but these just fell off. It is now RWD. It took 20 mins. As the centre diff is lockable fron the cabin all i needed to do was remove the front shafts, pop off the outer CV,and leave the stub to hold the bearings together, and blank the boot. When winter comes ill put them back. The utter awesomeness of this is that I can lock the rear diff solid from the knob in the car. I even fixed the light so I can see when its locked.:smokin: Also added new rear disks and pads as they wanted doing.Needs a rear calliper soon as the handbrake doesnt work pass side. Thats all for now.

I had a quattro coupe a few weeks, and kept thinking about doing that. You'll probably end up roasting the center diff, or atleast that was what the internet thought me at the time. But i'm sure you'll be able to fix that with a welder

If you lock the centre diff will it put all 100% of the power to the rear, or will you just be left with the standard 40% (iirc)?

Love the Evo. That BMW is awesome, one hell of a sleeper! The Audi looks great too, especially with your plans to turbo it Stealthstylz has a point, people take the front shafts out of Imprezas to drift them apparently, but surely the front diff will just be spinning with nowhere for the power to go? I'm probably wrong as I don't really know much about diffs and stuff. But the car isn't just going to send all the power to the back just cause the front shafts aren't there, surely? I've always wondered about this......

Progress is slow, but it is happening. I'm enjoying the drive as it is. Punchy burbly engine, through a stainless system, and nice drifts in second no probs even in the dry. Collecting bits at the moment, and the first purchase was this lot. 1x complete 3b 5pot turbo engine, with a small hole in the block caused by a bent rod, came with a second bottom end. This is currently at the machine shop waiting for .5 over pistons to arrive,so it can have its rebore. I was hoping to not buy pistons and do rods and new rings as the stock pistons are of high quality, but as they are of high quality the bore wears first So ill be using new pistons and stock rods, which means Ill go ffor a high output coil set up,to avoid knock. Ive bought a dissy for now as the coil set up will come once everthing is run in and I can start to up the wick and get a serious map in. Got rid of these....things. And de-chromed the handles, and the side trim, and de-badged the grill for a nicer look. Also got a pair of arch repair panels,as there is some bubbles coming through. As yet the only rust on the car. These came from germany as only the offside is availible in the UK. Another pic with a nice E21.
