Morning guys.
Just putting the feelers out at the moment, but am wondering if there are any mechanics (qualified/self taught/DIYer/pro) in or around the Chesterfield area who would fancy a bit of part time teaching? I`m flexible on days/times etc to suit you.
Basically, the story is me and a mate started breaking cars a couple of months ago as a bit of a hobby and to make a bit of spare cash. It`s been going pretty well, but to be honest, neither of us really know what we`re doing! Removing the simple things, like panels, ancilaries etc are fine, but we have to send cars to a local mechanic to remove engines and gearboxes, and end up leaving items such as suspension compenents and brakes on the shells when we send them to scrap. I`d like to learn how to do these things myself. I`ve looked into courses at colleges, but they all seem to be full time, or part time in the day, which I can`t commit to. What I`m looking for is someone who has the knowledge, and would be happy to pass it on. I`m happy to pay an hourly rate, or whatever rate you want (within reason ) or can pay through car parts or storage as I have a decent sized unit. As mentioned before, I can work around your times.
If anyone has the knowledge and spare time, and fancies helping out for a bit of cash etc, it would be much appreciated. PM, reply to this thread or email me at info AT compassvehiclelogistics DOT co DOT uk
Thanks,
Rob
