Well as my golf is still broken I needed a car for work, I bought this off ebay as a car just to get to work and back. Many people are proper haters on these, and have taken great pleasure in taking the pish, but I reckon its a right laugh and I have a plan which involves a bigger engine and 16 valves This is it after I got it polished up and sat on its backside, also stripped the rear out and removed the gay stickers and rub strips After my wedding in 2 weeks I'm on the hunt for a rotten bubble shape rover 214/216

I do have a soft spot for these, espec when they have a bigger K in them You have seen that mystery machine (Bruce) has a full VVC conversion (except the MGF driveshafts and the gearbox mount that'd need to be welded onto your subby unless you got a MGF subby) up for sale for £400

Soft spot here too. My uncle used to own a 1.4 automatic version, my granddad a 1.4 GTa 5dr in Brit racing green that actually looked pretty good and my best mate had a 1.1 as his first car. Much as I have very vivid images in my head of when Euro NCAP crash tested one, I still like them and styling wise they're a bit of a blank canvas which is great on this site

thats exactly why when I get a rotten bubble shape 200 I'd be happy with a 1.4 16v if thats what I end up with. 105bhp in one of these isn't gonna be shy! Its amazing what a difference just a bit of weight saving does too!
