Thanks Nah mines right hand drive Doh, should have spotted the servo! Weird - the wipers are on the other side, like they used a LHD scuttle panel.

Cool conversion Should be a bit more than 130bhp with that spec. Foam air filters aren't good on G40's, the foam breaks up and is like a fine grinding paste inside the charger

Never seen a G40 in a mk2 before, and I've seen more mk2s than I'd care to count! Nice to see something other than G60, 20VTs, and VRs put in one! Cav slabs are very very similar to BBS estorils, I hope you opened up the centre bore on those, I forced some vauxhall rims on a mk2 once, by tightening the wheel nuts up little by little one at a time until it forced the soft alloy over the steel hub flange haha

In fact nowadays you can pick up estorils a bit cheaper than cav slabs The last set I got was about 5 years ago, paid £80 for them in decent nick with good tyres, probably about £120 now for a good set. Was the van a 1.3 before or a 1.6D? Aren't the polo mounts different to the mk2's?
