watch for rust, pay attention to the rear arches and the sills! running gear is pretty much bomb-proof. I had a 1.9 diesel one and its probably one my my fav cars that ive owned. wasnt quick, but was very practical, great on fuel and really reliable. handling wasnt bad either for a van.

All I can tell you is that they fall over when Butterz gets with 10 feet of it.

EDIT: For got Input The bed on mine was shot to pieces so check carefully, usually at the back of the cab, windscreen leaking is a common problem. Don't avoid the petrols too, I had a 1.3 and it was great, good on fuel and revved nicely! And since Dan has mentioned it already... Don't do this.

I always wanted one,the roof is still intact there so that gets a thumbs up from me.safer than my 306 cabrio would have been.I recon these will be big collectors toys soon.so few around and so bleeding cool.they're just itching for a quick slam and nice paint.

Got the car from 105 bhp at the crank to 152 at the wheels.nitrous going on next.....if it ain't broke, keep bolting on go faster parts until it is........ www.fordgranadaclubuk.freefo.de

Ive got one of these, and it's brilliant!Ill see if I can find a picture of it.Its a real good workhorse, very ratty looking, but super useful.Only things as said above is the bed near the cab(mine needs welding at the mo), and the cab suffers from big water leaks, and not just from the rust holes!I have no carpet in mine for this reason!Love it though! ;D

Two of my friend had one each. One 1.6 petrol, one 1.3 petrol (1.6 being a vag lump & 1.3 is skoda). Both drove well, handled well. I prefered the 1.3 as many people do.
Simple little things (especially if fitted with the 1.3 petrol). The 1.3s are prone to rattly cam chains, but that is no real issue. They handle pretty well too considering what they are.
My friends 1.3 also had a bowl of porridge for a gearbox, but I think that was more of a one off than a trend. My Favorit with the same engine and box was tight and smooth.

Just to add, I always fancied a Favorit pickup, but they are getting fairly rare now. I hardly ever see one of sale. Although I guess you could pop a fav front end on a feli pickup. There is also someone on here who has put an Octavia nose on a feli truck. Look the biz!

Lewis.
I have had 2 and am on my fifth skoda (octy vrs) had a 1.3 and a 1.9d both good pickups and will go all day long. The box problem is a usual isue and is easy fixed look out for the usual skoda bodywork rot but everything else is good. I would go for the 1.3 goes well for what it is and golf gti handling you cant go wrong. Still got some bits so if you end up with one give me a shout.

That's Rich, and it's not an Octavia nose, just the facelift Felicia nose which was never put on the pick-up in production. I don't think any panels are interchangeable between the Felicia and the Favorit.

^ ah yeah, Rich. I thought it was a Mk1 Octavia nose. Having said that I have thought a lot of things that weren't true Fav and feli are the same base car with (I think) just different panels so should be swapable, not that it matters, and I have never actually swapped panels between different skoda models
