Toyota Sprinter Trueno

Model: AE101
Engine 1.6 20V Silvertop (4AGE)
Mileage: 66518 mixture of KM and MILES
TAX: till 30/06/12

I have owned this car since February this year which replaced the Micra K10 which was lacking a bit of power as I would state. I brought the car off a Japanese import enthusiast who had purchased an import Subaru Legacy. I have not modified the car in any way but as a fellow Toyota enthusiast who has owned previous model I can say that these engines still have a lot to give for your average daily town driving. The car is said to have produced 160BHP from factory with a rev limit of 7800rpm, it has plenty to give around your tight and twisty lanes offering plenty of cheap FWD fun at a relatively cheap price. A full tank of £60 using Shell Optimax gives a reseasonable 300miles on the motorway stretch but using standard Shell Unleaded will only return around 260miles so you can see that Premium Unleaded is the way to go for these engines.
The previous owner has re-sprayed the car in Matt Black (DVLA notified) which has seen better days, the previous colour being a dark metallic green which looks much better in my opinion. I cannot understand why is was re-sprayed but we’ve all done something silly, right!
From the Chassis number, the car is a Sprinter Trueno, the previous owner being an importer of Japanese parts has fitted the front end of the much aggressively looking Corolla Levin consisting of front wings, bonnet, grill, lights and an aftermarket Japanese front bumper. The aftermarket front bumper has been matched with fibreglass side skirts. The previous owner has given me a genuine TOMs rear fibreglass bumper which will need to be repaired and painted.
The Car has no Japanese history and little history in this country with the previous owner telling me that he serviced this car every 6months. Logbook is present as are previous MOT’s and tax disc’s, also included are various bits of history that the car has carried out.
In my short ownership, I have serviced the car (Castrol Magnetec, oil filter NGK platinum spark plugs, air filter). I have also replaced the rear disc and pads, the front were previously done by the owner 8 months ago. The car featured individual throttle bodies just like BMW’s M powered cars, I have cleaned all of these with the air intake system, all dirt, debris and remnants of grease have been removed so the throttle response is just like when it left the factory.
Interior is in very good condition for its age, Pioneer door speakers, less that 4 months old and I will include the Pioneer MP3/USB head unit if the right price is met.
Spec:
4AGE 20v Silvertop
Standard factory front strut brace
Just Serviced
New rear brakes
EBC front greenstuff pads
TRD Blue shortstroke coilovers all around, fully height adjustable.
TOMs lightweight flywheel
TRD clutch kit
Full NGK Exhaust system (4-2-1 manifold, catalytic converter with 4inch exit back box), I have just put an exhaust bung on the tip of the exhaust as the noise was just unbearable being a race spec exhaust system.
15 x 6.5 Rays Volk Racing Alloys wheels with 195/50/15 rubber all round, atleast 4mm thread on them.
H4 Hid 6000k Headlights.
Electric windows, mirrors, tilt/slide sunroof
AC/climate control
Factory front bucket seats
300mm suede/leather steering wheel
Bad Points:
Bodywork needs to be re-sprayed but it did not bother me whatsoever.
Front top mounts need to be changed, does not effect the performance.
Misfire from the engine, i’ve checked everything, could be the O2 sensor
Wheels need refurbishment
Rear wiper doesn’t work
Drivers side electric mirror retracts when it wants, sounds like a connection problem.
WILLING TO PX, LET ME KNOW, CONSIDER ANYTHING
