Been looking through all the Gathering photos and seeing some REALLY beautiful motors. But the one I keep coming back to is the orange Triumph, with the album covers stickered over the roof. This one: Is there any more info, or a build thread for it? Would love to see some interior pics too...

I love the quilted look on the gearbox tunnel, never noticed that before, one of the few ideas we seem not to have shared telepathically ;D

Thanks guys. Glad the car is liked, a bit embarrassed I never got a build thread going. I must admit, the 'vinyl' roof is both a blessing and a curse. The roof gets so much attention, people seem to gloss over the car underneath sometimes, which is where the work has been done. It's running a Dolly Sprint engine, but with a ported head, hot Kent cam and Dellorto 45's. I must admit, I do think about other engine and boxes but to be honest, without ever going on track, it's quick enough and sound lovely. More orange - You can tell with the bonnet but the front panel, wings and bonnet are all fibreglass.

Man I love this car still didn't really look around it at Prescott, though. Interior looks good though, and you're right, you really wouldn't know the front end was fibreglass. Haven't seen an update on the Olympic of late? Is it sorted?

I have always liked what has been done with this car, right down to the engine swap and interior goodies. What a way to turn a relatively unknown car into something quite special.

... and that is why it won Retro Rides Gathering - Car Of The Year last year! It is the very epitome of what we're about here, or at least what we aspire to be about!
