This thread may end up being rubbish, but we'll have a bash I've been pondering the fact that my Fiesta doesn't really have much that I look for in a car, or much that I will soon be looking for in a car. I want something bigger. I want something with more doors I want something with more classic styling I want something with a more traditional method of construction Could be any big old car but I've had my eye on these for far too long.. A Carbodies Fairway/Fairway Driver And we all know this one.. Something to aspire to What's your next car going to be?

the fairway in the last couple of pics looks so evil, i love it. but if you ran it more standard looking then i'm sure the novelty of people trying to hail you/ asking for a lift would wear off pretty quick. how about an old american barge limo? but i guess thats a bit overkill.

I live in rural Somerset where there are next to none.. I don't reckon it'd get hailed too much.. Ignore its primary function. I love the styling, the size, the seating arrangement, the separate chassis construction, the fact it's got a big unstressed diesel engine.

Taxi FTW Always wanted one but am happy with the tranny, cortina and many motorcycles/bicycles at present. We have a modern too (only because it was given to us) this would merrily be replaced with an old Jag running modern veg friendly turbo derv powers.

my next car is a BMW 750iL. In fact I already have it, and it's parked at my unit. I haven't actually looked at it though. I have a text message picture of it, that isn't very good.

But, otherwise, good point. I enjoy seeing the Fester on my way home, but a Fairway queuing past Stockmoor of an evening should be an even bigger treat. Especially if you do some fettling . . .

I enjoy seeing the Fester on my way home, but a Fairway queuing past Stockmoor of an evening should be an even bigger treat. Especially if you do some fettling . . . I feel like I'm being stalked ;D I've spotted the Open Bottles one (and am quite pleased to see that they've reopened; they used to be on Taunton Road and were an AMAZING offy selling mostly proper beer and cider from the barrel. I once asked for two litres of a cider and he wouldn't sell it to me until I asked for it in pints ;D ). I have a funny feeling it may be the same one that was for sale a few months ago in Glastonbury. I went and had a look around that one. It's not a new scratch I'm looking to itch. What are you driving when you spot me trying to stop my car from overheating on my last mile of journey home? A RWD Ford of some sort. I don't care what Budget stretches to finding reverse gear on the Fiesta in that case

Mine will be the same car, just in a new guise... It's virtually a new car after all the effort that's gone into it anyway, but that's cheating. So, probably an RX7 FC. If I can find one.

Trying not to think about that. Trying to sort out what I already have! We'll see how long that lasts... I did see a lovely '72 Imp on Dunlop wheels for sale yesterday mind you .

I've just bought a new car, so I don't want to think what I'm going to replace it with as that usually ends in me changing it again.
