Good news! Picking up the panel today to sort the repairs,
It's still this low, yeah, and I have the 40mm drop lowing springs that came with it,
With wheels, as it is, probably about 600-800, without the wheels about 200-500, (sorry to be vague!)
But if i get the repair sorted i'll probably drive it over summer and refurb the wheels, and have a bit of fun with it before moving on!

Looks similar to my old 1987 E-reg one, which was also black, a 2-litre manual, with AMG 15" rims. The previous owner had lowered it at the front, but I raised it back up as much I could using the thickest rubber front coil spring pads I could get (they come in different sizes) because the alloy sump kept getting whacked on the slightest speed hump, rupturing the previous repairs and causing oil leaks. I even had to sleep overnight in it once as I had whacked it again and had to wait until after work the following day to do a JB-Weld repair on it to get me home - I rapidly grew tired of the lowered look with that car!

I'm sure i'll have happy days like that soon enough... the underside of mine takes a beating when I'm unfortunate enough to find speed bumps!
I went past a tidy Minor on the M20 at about half ten last night (Passenger gave a thumbs up)! Not sure if it could have been you as your Location is Kent?

No, not me, I was safely ensconsed indoors with the laptop on t'internet. I bought my Benz at a car auction in Charlton, SE London. At some stage in its life, it must have been submerged in mud because there was a 'tidal' line of it inside the doors when I took the door cards off to sort out the leccy windows - I imagine it must have been left in some Thames estuary when the tide came in: pure gangster, or a "Hood's motor", as my dad called it! Sadly, I never found any bags of 'substances' in it though. Despite this, it went on to be quite a decent and reliable car, great on the motorway - everyone just melts out of the way when they see a black Merc come up in their rear view mirror, and it would return 30 mpg quite easily, so a surprisingly cheap car to run. I eventually sold it to some guys from London, who managed to scrape the sump on their test drive, fortunately without knocking out the JB Weld repair! Looks like it hasn't seen any more action since September 2005 though: www.taxdisc.direct.gov.uk/EvlPortalApp/app/enquiry?execution=e1s3
