What a shame, he seemed fairly upbeat about the situation too even though it was serious. RIP.

Really sorry to hear he lost the fight. Never had the pleasure, but I really admired his attitude throughout this horrific ordeal. My thoughts and condolences go out to his friends and family.
RIP. You will be missed.

Incredibly sad. Didn't know him but had few nice pms when I sent him some stickers following a post he made a few months ago. He struck me as a guy who's cup was always half full and his postivity was something else. Really hoped he would pull through. Thoughts are with his family and friends. RIP John.

That's awful. Like many, I never had the pleasure of meeting him, but he always struck me as an integral part of the forum.
It has to be said though, I applaud him for his fighting spirit. It takes effort to be upbeat in person when faced with an illness such as his, but to carry that through to an internet forum is something else.
R.I.P John, you will be missed.
Chris

Nonononononononononononononononononono.
no.
no.
no.
Not fair.
The world just got a degree less good. What can I say.
He was a warm hearted, genuine, kind, honest, salt-of-the-earth kind of guy. Last person in the world who deserves this. How he was, how he went out should be an inspiration and lesson to us all.
My condolences go to his family.
100% unique guy, cannot be replaced. RARE JDM YO!
curse word it.

I was hoping much like everyone else that he'd beat his illness, this is very sad news indeed. My thoughts go out to his friends and family and anyone who, unlike myself, knew him more closely than through his posts on this forum. He's one of the names that was a regular appearance in the threads I enjoyed.
