Car -Renault 5
Year - 1992
Engine - 1.1
Tax - March 2012
Mot - Jan 2012
Location - Surrey
I love this car to bits, but after squashing Gilbert, (My Ridgeback) into the boot again this evening,am starting to realize,I need something bigger,so I'm testing the water to see if anyone here has anything interesting
The car is lowered on minus 40 springs and turned bar with GTT struts,it has un marked GTX Alloys with 4 good tyres. It has Excellent GTX Seats, (Same as GTT but different cloth)with no rips or buggered side supports. period pioneer radio cassette.
The shell is rock solid, with no nasty filler anywhere,it has a 2x2" patch on one sill. The screen surround and windows, arches are all 100% (common weak points) it really is the best standard one I've seen and people always comment on it's condition.
Engine is the mighty 1100,pushing out a staggering 47bhp ;D
Saying that,I've seen nearly a ton on the clock, downhill, on a private road It is great on fuel though, averaging over 50mpg.
Insurance is ultra low. I'm 42 and pay £90 a year, fully comp, with The Green Insurance co.
The car also has Vented disks and calipers + everything needed to drop in a 16V engine,Clio or R19. This is GTX engine mounts, drive shafts,Gearbox, coolant bottle and rad. (Not fitted but supplied)
It's the base model, with no frills,so weighs in at 715KG.so drop in a valver and you don't need me to tell you about power to weight ratios.....
It really is a pukka honest car, that will leave Veryon owners green with envy.
Right, ideally I'm looking for an estate or pick up,but nothing modern please.
Cheers
Daz.
Just to add,it had a full pre MOT inspection last week and flew through, including a full emissions check, this was carried out at AA Auto's in Godalming
