I appreciate his isnt a car but a theft from one. Feel free to remove the post but would really appreciate ir's relocation elsewhere rather than deleted.
Merry Christmas all,
I know it's a long shot but just wanted it known as far as possible incase the stuff turns up.
My mate stayed at mine last night in Taunton, blackbrook and we got up this morning to find his Focus ST broken into on our drive. Usual stuff like satnav and CDs were taken but all the presents he had in the boot from/for family and friends he was seeing later today. Above all, his Digital SLR Nikon. Put quite a shitter on today but atleast it wasn't any ID, the car itself etc. Took a walk an found wrapping paper and 2 of the presents in the bushes (leading to the local council estate known for specific people who do car thefts in our area). All cards for his family had money removed. Reported to police and finger prints taken by police.
Details are:
Nikon D90 body
Kit lens
70-300mm Nikon lens
Flashgun
Camera bag with cables etc
Tomtom sat nav (flatscreen ones but not widescreen)
We have serial numbers for it all but looks like the house insurance won't cover it as excessive force must be used to gain entry. The car appeared to have no forced entry but we unlocked it this morning to get in it. Car insurance claim wouldn't cover the cost of the stuff and the premium increase isn't worth the hassle.
Live in a cul de sac with no pedestrian pathway so obv came down to try a visitors car or to have a look at all the ones in the street. Everything was in the boot. Out of sight.
I appreciate its a long shot but please contact me if u stumble across anything like that for sale all in one go. (TBH its probs been sold for about £30 to fund a habit which is even more criminal).
Keep an eye out for your own stuff guys and be careful who sees you unloading gifts etc etc etc
Cash reward for finding the camera or people!
Thanks,
Conor.
