hi few pics or my new project my mate found this in a back garden and told me about this "old escort he had seen"..had to be worth a look. glad I did as it was a bit or a bargain! 160bhp xflow weber 45s, acralite forged pistons, shotpeened rods, tuftried crank, burton race head , titan roller rockers ,oil cooler etc 5 speed with quick shift, bilstien front legs, quick rack, koni rears and single leafs,rs alloys, etc, etc. it was built about 10 years ago, used for a year then garaged, then owener lost his storage and moved it to the garden, first job was to get it running right so cleaned the carbs new leads and she fired straight up

few pics of how it looks now with window tints removed quick wash, and polished the wheels, plans are to repaint it unsure on colour yet and sort the interior, and some 7x13s had a good look round it needs no welding, still on original strut tops, had new wings and front pannel already so should be a nice easy one!

That is a lovely looking Escort Hopefully a relatively pain free tidy up/resto. Seems a shame, but the first thing I thought when I saw it parked outside in your photos was 'please please please don't get nicked'. I really don't mean to put a downer on or tell you what to do, but keep it safe! Also just noticed, those inner wing/strut tops are remarkable for original

The best looking of all Escorts IMO and it looks in fine fettle. I'm more than a little jealous, even though i am a Rootes fan first and foremost.
