I'm laughing about it now because its getting so ridiculous.
I was doing some work on the Ventora and thought I could do a bit better on the bonnet. So I sanded it back with 400 in the DA and tack rag & panel wiped it, vacuumed up the area and everything. Loaded my DeVilbiss GTi with the paint, properly thinned. Quick test spray, check all gun settings are good, and then applied paint to the panel. Went on smooth as silk. Looked lovely. Couple of coats for coverage and the job's a goodun.
Until it reacted.
I'm not even going to ask how the sodding paint can react with itself. And why it only reacted on the bonnet when the whole of the rest of the car was OK.
An curiously the bonnet now looks a different colour to the rest of the car.
I should know with this one to leave well alone.
I'm leaving it as-is as theres no point in doing any more and I'm out of paint now. Wrinkle finish is in this year yeah?
