Over the Christmas & New Year holiday, my cherished 1985 FORD ESCORT RS TURBO CUSTOM C 516 JHE, which I have owned from new, was stolen from a locked garage in St Anthony Rd/Bole Hill Lane, SHEFFIELD 10. South Yorks. The car featured in the July/August issue of 'Rallye News' 2011 under the title of '25 YEARS OF LIFE WITH THE DASHING WHITE CHARGER' Thieves demolished the rear brick wall of the garage and got through all the security to get this car, so they appear to have been determined and professional.
I suspect the car has been stolen 'to order' and will end up being cloned by someone who has registration documents for a similar car which has already been scrapped...................or that it will end up in the parts bin on E-bay(!).
Like most members, I could identify this car easily, even without its registration plates.
PLEASE, if you see or hear anything about the car, or spot it (or bits you think might be from it) anywhere on your cyber-travels or elsewhere, do let me know. ALSO - If you belong to other forums and can post this message on them for me, then I'd be most grateful.
I'm prepared to offer a reward for information which leads to its safe recovery/conviction of the thieves.
Many thanks!
